Welcome to the site of Twana Adventure/Twana Lodge

Our Lodge is situated in South Africa, just east of Pretoria.

Twana Lodge is used by Overland organizations as a starting or finishing point for their Southern African tours, and by private travelers touring through Africa with their own, or with rental cars.

The Lodge has proved an ideal home base for our own overland trucks, 4x4 tours and rentals for the last seven years.

In 1994 I started with my first trans-Africa from Amsterdam to Cape Town as driver/tour leader in a converted 4x4 truck with eighteen passengers. These tours were called expeditions because of their length (about eight to nine months) and because of the whims of the fantastic African continent, like bad roads, difficult border crossings, and off course wild animals.

After having travelled in the same capacity from Amsterdam to India, and around South America, Africa remained my favorite, and thus a reason to establish our lodge, and overland business.

Together with my colleagues we hope to use our experience to help you along on an unforgettable African journey.

With our overland trucks, and terrain vehicles we offer a wide range of tours. From guided or unguided ‘self-drive’ holidays, to group tours with the trucks. The countries we travel to are amongst others; South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania, and Kenya.
